Cathal Leigh-Doyle

Cathal is an international dispute resolution lawyer with a broad range of experience especially within the energy and maritime sectors. He advises a range of companies from start-ups to industry leaders on contentious and non-contentious matters. In relation to autonomous vessels, Cathal regularly advises on regulatory and contractual issues arising from designing, building and using autonomous vessels on offshore operations. Cathal’s clients are asset owners, charterers, equipment manufacturers, shipyards, financiers and contractors. Cathal also frequently represents some of the largest marine robotic, geotechnical, survey and geoscience companies around the world.   

While qualified and practicing in England and Wales, Cathal is triple jurisdiction qualified being also qualified to practise law in Ireland and New York. Cathal frequently lectures on BIMCO training courses around the world and is also a guest law lecturer at Swansea University on its Oil, Gas and Renewable Energy LLM.
