The Hydrographic Society UK & Ireland (THS:UKI) has partnered with the University of Plymouth’s Career Mentoring Programme to launch a dedicated Hydrographic Mentoring Scheme for 2026/27.
Through this initiative, THS:UKI will recruit experienced hydrographic professionals from its membership and wider industry network to volunteer as mentors for University of Plymouth students interested in pursuing careers in hydrography and related marine industries.
The University of Plymouth will manage the programme, including mentor and mentee matching, mentor training, programme monitoring, and overall administration, ensuring participants receive a structured and rewarding mentoring experience.
Who Can Apply?
Mentors:
THS:UKI members and experienced hydrographic professionals who are passionate about supporting the next generation of surveyors are encouraged to volunteer as mentors via THS:UKI.
Mentees:
University of Plymouth students with an interest in hydrography or a related sector who are looking to develop their career, expand their professional network, and gain industry insight, are invited to apply for the University of Plymouth Career Mentoring Programme.
