Njord Survey has secured a long-term contract to support the Greenlink interconnector, a key electricity infrastructure link between Ireland and the United Kingdom.

The agreement will run from 2026 to 2030 and includes recurring geophysical and environmental marine surveys along the subsea cable route between Wales and Ireland.

Under the programme, Njord Survey will assess cable burial conditions, monitor seabed changes, and verify the integrity of protection measures installed along the route. The work will also support environmental monitoring requirements linked to licence conditions for the interconnector.

The surveys are intended to support the long-term performance, resilience, and environmental compliance of the cross-border energy infrastructure.

Greenlink is a subsea electricity interconnector connecting the power grids of Ireland and Great Britain, supporting energy security and the integration of renewable energy across both markets.

Njord Survey is an offshore survey company specialising in geophysical data acquisition and processing for marine and energy projects.
