The Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) is undertaking an Early Market Engagement exercise to help inform the future procurement of the Civil Hydrography Programme (CHP).

The CHP commissions hydrographic surveys in UK waters to support safe navigation and the updating of the nation’s nautical charts and publications.

As part of this engagement, the MCA has published a Request for Information (RFI) and is seeking feedback from organisations across the hydrographic sector, including survey providers, technology suppliers, data specialists and other interested stakeholders.

The purpose of the RFI is to better understand current market conditions, delivery models, challenges and opportunities within the industry.

Feedback received will help shape future procurement strategies and ensure the programme remains attractive, effective and aligned with industry capability.

The MCA welcomes responses from both existing suppliers and organisations that may be interested in participating in future opportunities.

Further details and access to the questionnaire can be found via the Department for Transport eSourcing Portal: https://www.find-tender.service.gov.uk/Notice/072829-2026

Responses are welcomed before the closing date of 14th September.
