South West Branch – Industry Presentation

When: Thursday 8 February 2024, 1830-late

Where: The Roundabout, 2-4 Drake Circus, Plymouth

Meet a panel of experts and get a chance to have 1 to 1 discussions with leading Hydrographic Survey companies
This is a fantastic opportunity to find all about Hydrography as a career from the people who have ‘been there and done it’!

All students are welcome to attend, whether already studying hydrography, Ocean Exploration or a marine science course, or just wanting to find out more about Hydrography as a career.

The evening will be split into two parts, broken up by an informal buffet meal in the middle:

7pm Part 1 | Meet the Panel of Experts
A varied group of individuals covering everything from Offshore Surveying, Coastal Sur-vey Operations, Geodesy to surveying using Unmanned Surface Vessels, will be on hand to answer your toughest questions.

8:15pm Part 2 | One-on-One
Nine leading survey companies will also be present to have short 5 minute 1 to 1 discussions with those students/graduates wishing to find out about specific roles, possible job opportunities and just general industry advice.

What do I need to do?
Turn up on the night, drink beer, eat food and discover why our industry is one of the most exciting maritime professions to be in!
Entrance fee: £5.00 (includes a buffet dinner)

Students also get x1 beer voucher when they sign up for one-on-one interviews on the door.
