NORBIT and QPS are proud to announce their support for the good work undertaken by two charitable organisations Folye Search & Rescue based on the River Foyle, and Waterford Marine Search & Rescue operating around the Rivers Suir and Barrow in Ireland.

Through various fund raising and grant awards by both organisations, NORBIT have been able to supply equipment, training and support to their respective marine crews. By using state of the art NORBIT iWBMS multibeam equipment and the data processed with QPS Qimera software, Search and Rescue operations are becoming more efficient and faster.

John Fraser from NORBIT commented: “The volunteers in both organisations work extremely hard, in often challenging and difficult circumstances, so by using our technology we have reduced search times and increased their operational capability. We are grateful to QPS for sharing our values and identifying these organisations to receive our assistance”.

Frans Nijsen from QPS added: “The two separate charities here have demonstrated undisputed dedication to their cause, and we’re proud to work with them”.

Seamus McCloskey from Foyle and  Darryl Barry from Waterford, jointly praised the equipment capability and the cooperation provided by NORBIT and QPS.
