Joining an existing team based at HMNB Devonport – Plymouth, you will deliver high quality training in line with Company standards and contractual requirements.

This is a part time role working 27hrs and 45 minutes each week, days of work will vary each week due to course requirements.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Delivering hydrographic, mathematic and scientific Instruction
  • Undertaking direct support tasks including preparatory work for training delivery activity, post-delivery assessments and post-delivery activities
  • Providing input into the Training Design activities including LSPEC/ASPEC and low level media production
  • Ensuring the effective use of the Maintenance Management System (MMS)
  • Responsible for the duty of care of trainees under your control.

What we’re looking for:

  • MSc in Hydrography or close equivalent
  • Successful completion of accredited IHO Cat A Surveyor course plus experience of survey planning and direction
  • Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training
  • ILM Level 3 Award (Workplace Coaching for Team Leaders and First Line Management) would be an advantage
  • Training or coaching experience would be an advantage
