Senior Surveyor / Surveyor

Due to continued business growth, we are seeking an experienced Surveyor / Senior Surveyor to join our team on a full-time permanent basis to attend offshore operations as required. ​

The primary functions of this position are provide technical support to the company’s permanent vessels and survey equipment including data acquisition and data processing systems for field operations. Responsible for ensuring acquired survey data is of acceptable quality.

This role is an offshore role.

• A qualification in surveying, hydrography, ocean science or closely-related subject is essential.
• ​Good understanding of rig positioning and geophysical survey principles;
• ​Able to work flexible hours, travel when required and work offshore for periods of up to 4 weeks.

• Experience of working offshore in hydrographic, geophysical or construction survey;
• ​Commercial experience of delivering hydrographic survey data (i.e. multibeam, tides, backscatter, GNSS);
• ​Experience of industry-standard geophysical survey software (e.g. Edgetech, Kongsberg, Trimble, EIVA, Teledyne CARIS, Hypack);
• ​Experience operating or repairing survey equipment – multibeam ech sounder, single beam echo sounder, USBL systems, GNSS equipment, 2D and 3D seismic.
