Trainee Onshore Survey Technician

Our Asset Integrity team specialises in the delivery of integrated project solutions to solve our customers’ unique subsea technology challenges across the offshore energy sector. Ashtead Technology are recognised as the underwater technology experts for the global offshore industry and are engaged in operations spanning across the entire energy sector. Offering a fully integrated service capability, we provide packaged equipment solutions for our customers for various applications, water depths and deployments.

As a Trainee, you’ll get hands-on with cutting-edge subsea technology and learn how professional equipment is prepared, tested, and delivered for real-world offshore projects. With training and support from experienced engineers, you’ll be involved in a wide range of practical and technical tasks, including:

• Learning how to inspect, test, repair, and prepare subsea survey equipment and bespoke solutions packages.
• Supporting the commissioning of brand-new equipment and getting it ready for use.
• Preparing equipment for hire, making sure everything is fully functional, correctly labelled, documented, photographed, and presented to a high professional standard.
• Off-hiring equipment returning from jobs, testing it in line with workshop procedures, and reporting any missing or damaged items.
• Assisting with equipment repairs and builds, working to manufacturer standards.
• Helping assemble and build bespoke Ashtead Technology products and carrying out electrical safety tests and learning about calibration and measurement processes.
• Using company systems to complete work orders, customer records, stock checks, and export documentation.
