Hydrographic Surveyor (USV)

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast growing Unmanned Surface Vessels (USV’s) developer.  Unmanned Survey Solutions (USS) is recruiting for experienced Hydrographic Surveyors to join their team in Cornwall, UK.

The survey industry is going through a huge shift in the execution of hydrographic surveys and we need surveyors who are flexible and adaptable in these changing times.  If you want to help sculpt the new Hydrographic seascape and have a desire to undertake professional Hydrographic Surveys using the newest equipment mobilised into the latest USV’s then apply to join our innovative team.

We are seeking surveyors with 3+ years’ experience in the coastal and/or offshore industry.  The primary duty will be to conduct survey operations from Remote Operations Centre’s (ROC) located in our offices in Cornwall UK or from temporary ROC installations on site or at home.

All our surveyors are required to be able to:

• Prepare, mobilise and calibrate survey equipment prior to deployments
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) for USV operations
• Undertake quality control checks during survey operations to ensure specifications are being met
• Have good communication skills and work well in small teams or unsupervised as an individual
• Hold a valid offshore medical and sea survival certification

Our package includes a competitive basic salary plus operational pay along with an incentive benefits program.  We are also keen to support all of our surveyors in obtaining individual accreditation within the International Federation of Hydrographic Societies (IFHS) Hydrographic Professional Accreditation Scheme (HPAS).
