The role

As Hydrographic Project / Programme Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management of hydrographic projects and programmes. This will require you to identify, coordinate and document projects on both a national and international basis, offering the chance for broad travel and engagement opportunities. You will work closely with other UK Government Organisations, providing consultancy and technical assistance as required to foreign governments and non-governmental institutions, maximising data acquisition for use in UKHO products and services.

What we are looking for

This role will suit someone with a passion for seabed mapping, pairing this with a strong hydrographic technical background and experience.

You will be accredited to at least HPAS Level 2 and/or have successfully completed IHO Cat B education or equivalent.

In addition to your strong hydrographic background, you will possess current knowledge of the latest methods of hydrographic data collection, processing, and appraisal standards/techniques.

You will be capable of developing hydrographic solutions tailored to customer needs across a broad spectrum of hydrographic survey related activity.

Additionally, you will possess excellent written and oral communication skills, pairing this with a confidence to work with staff at all levels and to build strong working relationships.
