EGS International Internships

EGS International are offering 3-12 month internship opportunities based our of their Hampshire, UK office.

An exciting opportunity to get involved in various aspects of survey work including survey planning, processing, reporting and possibly site work which could include mobilisation and acquisition. Opportunities exist for both Hydrographic Surveyors (MBES and Positioning) as well as Geophysicists (SSS, SBP, Magnetometer).

Summary

Examples of Typical Duties

  • Data Processing: (Nav: POSPac, MBES: Caris and BeamworX, SSS: Sonarwiz,SBP: RadEx Pro / IHS Kingdom Suite, Mag: Oasis Montaj).
  • Survey Preparation: creating line plans and compiling relevant project documentation e.g. Project Execution Plan (PEP).
  • Site work: Assisting with mobilisation and data acquisition plus the relevant Mobilisation and Operation reports.
  • Some topographic survey may also be included.

Prerequisites

  • Candidates will be on a suitable Hydrographic Survey degree course and will ideally be between years 2 and 3 or post graduate before taking up an MSc or further study.
