Their mission: to explore uncharted depths and uncover submarine geohazards that could unleash tsunamis across the globe. Despite covering over 70% of our planet\, less than a quarter of the seafloor has been mapped and we know far more about the surfaces of Mars and the Moon than our own oceans.
