DESCRIPTION:Initially planned in December 2020\, the IFHS hydrographic conference\, renamed HYDRO22\, will take place 6 – 8 December 2022 at the Grimaldi Forum\, Monaco.\n  \nAfter two very complicated years\, our community has grown\, attracting younger generations with innovative ideas and eager to enhance our Blue World.  As a conscientious community\, it is also our duty to recognise our role and responsibility in the resilience of our climate\, the access to marine knowledge and the sharing of our expertise to the widest audience. \nWe wish to gather the widest hydrographic and hydrospatial community for this event under this ambitious banner: “Towards Enhanced Responsibility”. \nThe selected speakers will be organised in to eight sessions of three to four presentations each\, covering a wide range of topics; data processing\, digitalisation\, navigation safety\, charting\, teledetection\, autonomy\, environmental assessment\, impact assessment. \nWe look forward to seeing you all in Monaco! \nAFHy

DESCRIPTION:IOGP / bp / Shell 11th Geomatics Industry Day \n7-8 December (Online event) \nTo register\, please visit www.iogp.org/event/11th-geomatics-industry-day \nFor more information\, please contact the Geomatics Committee Manager\,\nLucyna Kryla-Straszewska\, at lks@iogp.org \nThe Geomatics discipline plays a pivotal role in the Energy Transition to net zero\, from site characterisation\, data acquisition\, engineering and construction\, and asset integrity inputs; to the management and analysis of geospatial data for projects. It encompasses situational awareness\, opportunity screening\, site selection and emergency preparedness and response. \nThe value proposition for Geomatics has seldom been more compelling\, with the economic climate and drive for change accelerating project timelines\, demanding greater operational efficiency and increasing the need for geospatial data and new technology. Technical capability\, personnel competency and delivery workflows developed in support of oil and\ngas projects are easily adapted and applied to the new energy businesses. This allows the Geomatics discipline to meet different challenges and create new opportunities for existing professionals and new talent. \nThe 11th IOGP Geomatics Industry Day will be co-hosted by IOGP\, bp and Shell. The focus of this year’s event will be the role that Geomatics plays in the Energy Transition through delivery of cost competitive and operational efficiency\, management of HSSE risks and geospatial data solutions\, as enablers for existing oil and gas and future energy business.
